So one day I was minding my business in a hospital and spotted an unconscious patient and I was on alert, as an unconscious patient until proven otherwise was supposed to be sent to the Medical Team on Call, by the casualty officer.
However when I peeped into to folder and asked those on the front desk, it was obvious, the patient was a patient of the Brain Surgeons and not the medical team on call.
It happened that there was an issue with change between 2 people in a taxi or so, and arguments turned to a shouting contest which mutated to a “we no go gree” session and then culminated to a boxing competition without boxing gloves and boom a punch with maximal force and accuracy connected to the patient’s head and a knock out would have been awarded to the punch giver if it was truly a boxing competition; and the punch receiver dropped and probably hit the head on the bare ground.
There the journey started…from dazed, to dazzled to deeply comatose.
Unfortunately the change which may not be more than 100 Naira is now chicken change, compared to the current reality on ground as the neurosurgery fees and other expenses and possible legal charges are an ocean compared to the issue that caused the whole problem.
Prayer point will now probably shift to “we bind every spirit of death” and “open doors to pay bills”.
Anger, especially when not controlled is one letter short of danger..
Uncontrolled anger destroys…it destroys homes, marriages, good friendships, access, potential and so on.
Wisdom as always is profitable to direct.
